In the beginning, there was only a darkness, a blank emptiness, a shapeless void along the edge of the information highway. Then, a spirit appeared, moving along the face of this void and, as particles of light slowly began to twist and turn, images took shape, code took form, and there was a definite, discernable shudder as an idea was born.

I said: "Let there be a website."

And there was a website.

It wasn't a great website; maybe it wasn't even a good website. But there was a home page, some links, and the start of a blog. Since many days had passed, I rested.

Welcome to The Fisherman's website.

This site was created for several reasons. It was created because I love to write and I needed a place to showcase my writing. It was created because working on a website is one of the more acceptable forms of procrastination. It was created because my wife wouldn't stop bugging me about making it.

I hope you enjoy the site. Along the left side of the page are some links if you want to learn more about The Fisherman and this site. Otherwise, feel free to browse at your leisure.
